Merge’s MiniLuxe and Penn Street Housing are featured in the May 2008 issue of Architectural Record. MiniLuxe, a salon in Boston, Massachusetts houses the expected services of manicures and pedicures by day but moonlights as a private party venue and lounge at night. Penn Street Housing arranges six interlocking loft-like units inside a tight box defined by the allowable zoning and a strict parking requirement in Quincy, Massachusetts. The article, entitled ‘The New Establishment Meets the New Wave’, focuses upon emerging practices in Boston and can be read here.
